Frequently Asked Questions

  1. From the Menu in the upper right, select Login.
  2. Click the Create Account link, or click the link in this step to open the Create Account page in a new browser window.
  3. Enter your personal information in the fields on this form.
  4. Click the Submit button.
  5. You will then be directed through some forms, including a User Profile form. Please note that these forms will only need to be completed upon your first login.
  6. After you have created your account you will receive a welcome email. If you do not receive this email please verify that you have entered the correct email address. You can update your information using the My Account, Edit Account page found in the left sidebar menu. Also verify that email from WLA is not being blocked by a SPAM filter.
  7. You can then follow these instructions to register for a course.

  2. Select the Forgot your password? link, or click the link in this step to open the Forgot Password page in a new browser window.
  3. Enter the email addressdate of birth and that you provided when you created your account.
  4. Click the Submit button.
  5. If the information is correct, we will email your username to you and reset your password.

  1. From the Home page select Course Catalog from the menu.
  2. Select the course name.
  3. Select the REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE link. If you are not already logged in you will be prompted to login then redirected back to the course registration page.
  4. Review your User Profile information in the gray shaded area. Select the Update Profile link to change it if it is incorrect.
  5. Complete the remaining fields on the registration form and click the Submit button.
  6. An email request will be sent to the course director and/or administrator. You should receive an email within 2 business days from a course director or administrator when access has been granted. If you do not, please email WolffLearningA@upmc.edu.

Note: You cannot view course material until you have registered for the course and been granted access by the course director. Go to the register for a course section of the FAQ for instructions.

  1. From the Home page select My Portfolio from the menu. If you are not already logged in you will be prompted to login then redirected back to your My Portfolio page.
  2. All your recent courses will be listed. If you are registered for one or more class dates, these dates will be listed below the course name. Only recent courses or those for which you have incomplete tasks (such as post surveys) are displayed on the My Portfolio page. To view all courses you have access to use the Completed Course History link at the bottom of the My Portfolio page.
  3. Select the Review Course Material link.
  4. Use the drop down menu or the Next and Back buttons to proceed through the material.

  1. From the Home page select My Portfolio from the menu. If you are not already logged in you will be prompted to login then redirected back to your My Portfolio page.
  2. All courses for which you have incomplete tasks (such as surveys or quizzes) will be listed.
  3. If you have not been scheduled for a class date yet, use the register for a class link to email the course director. You cannot complete quizzes or surveys unless you are assigned to a class.
  4. Any incomplete surveys or quizzes will be listed below the class date. Select the quiz or survey name to view the questions.
  5. Answer the questions and click the Submit button.
  6. You will receive a confirmation message that your answers were submitted. Select the Class Portfolio link to return to the class page and complete another survey or quiz if applicable.
